Cutthroat trout are captured, sampled and released downstream, as they migrate through the fence to spawn each spring.
Looking across the fence panels as a GFA technician cleans debris - typically leaves, sticks and spawned out salmon - to prevent damming of the fence panels.
This large cottonwood tree has been wedged into the falls at least since 2008, making it even more difficult for fish to moved past the falls. GFA attempted to cut the log out in 2010.
